At VICTOR REINZ we’re different because we’re always thinking ahead. During the design phase, for example, we visualize the assembly sequence in the production line. During repair work, we consider packaging aspects. We also consider the question of recycling and clean separation of the materials used.Interfaces: »Built-in« understanding

now be saved by means of component simulations in computers - simulated tests using virtual models. But that only represents one aspect of development. At VICTOR REINZ, ongoing practical experience also flows back directly into the FEA programs – making them smarter every step of the way. The result? All relevant parts and critical areas of the shielding system’s structure and environment are examined in detail during the FEA calculations in the design phase, maximizing the development of an optimum shielding system. The virtual test stand 1: Molding simulation prevents wrinkling and splitting Molding simulation at VICTOR REINZ helps us further speed development, and also provides reliable project estimates from the start. Primarily, molding simulation enables examination of any wrinkling and splitting during the press molding process. By determining tensile and compressive stress areas, the simulation not only defines critical areas, but also supplies precise data about the material thicknesses in these areas. With complex shapes, press molding usually involves two steps: First, the blank (consisting of bottom layer, top layer, and inlay) is shaped according
to the specific requirements. Then the actual press molding process turns it into a three-dimensional shielding component. Molding simulation is also used to determine the shape of the blank. This permits us to assess the costs for a shielding product quickly and simply.
Shielding systems from VICTOR REINZ not only fit into the vehicles, but also into the 3D computer design worlds of our customers. We speak the same language as your designers, and supply geometrical data of the required shielding system in the specified data format. We also use the fastest available online data transmission methods. This applies to our complete Sealing systems and valve cover systems.
