Step 3: Programming and network configuration The R 360 controllers are programmed with the Software CoDeSys. All the required functions for parameter setting of the CANopen modules, triggering of the dialogue modules and for the complex control functions are available. It makes sense to implement the machine functions with individual software modules, so-called function blocks, and to test them individually. The software can then be organised more clearly. Function blocks have one more advantage. Implemented functions can be grouped in libraries and used in another project later on. Extensive software Tools support the programmer to implement the application. The “downloader” program enables loading of the controller software independently of the programming system. This function is mainly used in production because downloading can be automated via an easy batch processing. In combination with the CAN interface CANview, the bus monitoring software CANmon enables exact monitoring of the communication data on the bus. Depending on the monitoring profile selected the data are commented and filtered. Incorrect settings can be determined quickly and reliably.
