ERHARD EAK Butterfly valves – robust and reliable
Safe, reliable sealing ERHARD butterfly Valves are soft sealing. The main seal, in the form of a profile ring [11] is clamped onto the valve disc and fixed with a clamping ring [10] . It can easily be adjusted using fixing Screws and is easy to replace. It is secured and fixed by means of locking pins. The profile ring with one-piece clamping ring enables uniform and controlled prestressing to be achieved. The profile ring can easily be replaced in the open position. On request, the main seal is also availalbe made of Viton, PU or other special materials. Standard ERHARD butterfly valves are also optionally available with an inner coating made of EKB or vitreous enamelling, whereby the design of the seat ring varies: A A rolled in, solid seat ring made of stainless steel is used for the epoxy

coating (EKB, blue) according to the requirements of DIN 30677 Part 2. A If the inner surface is enamelled (ERHARD vitreous enamel, blue), the seat is positioned directly on the enamel. A Alternatively, other high-quality coatings are available, such as epoxy ceramic. [w p 14]

The Planta Achachicala ensures the water supply for the city of La Paz. Planta Achachicala is fed by four water reservoirs, the storage lake Milluni and the rivers Jankho Khota, Tuni-Condoriri, and Rio Choqueyapu. Almost all water valves in the entire plant are supplied by ERHARD. This includes 20 wafer type valves, more than 70 butterfly valves with nominal width range from DN300 to DN600, partly with Pneumatic drive, partly with handwheel, as well as a number of conventional shut\-off valves. The professions of the municipal waterworks in Leipzig also relied on ERHARD for the comprehensive upgrading of its water supply system, parts of which were almost 100 years old. 15 ERHARD butterfly valves size DN 500 to 1000 were installed in the heart of the water distribution plant in Leipzig-Probstheide alone [3/4]. Use of the long series with integrated bypass enables optimum pressure equalisation during starting up.
